About Us
Those With Children in Their Lives-
Allow me to introduce myself and the company. I am an avid traveler, a lover of the culinary arts, and have an enthusiasm for anything outdoors. I clearly have a variety of passions in my life – none as strong, however, as my relationship with my nieces.
My bond with these amazing little girls, Mika, 5 years old, and Riana, 3½, single-handedly inspired the SparkSprite concept. Living more than 500 miles away, and seeing them only occasionally, was not making the connection I wished to make. Having been in promotional product sales for over 18 years, I started sending them letters, accompanied by little surprises, on a regular basis. Something as simple as a pencil or a sheet of stickers enabled me to solidify my bond with them. Now, every visit brings about more conversation and a much warmer reception. After sharing my little secret with others and hearing their experiences, the idea hit – kids love receiving mail (and of course, surprises).
To ensure success, I've partnered with Meg Reid and Scott Cahill. Meg, having worked in promotional sales for more than 20 years, brings that experience to SparkSprite. Besides her creativity, she also brings her experience as a mother of 2 and an aunt to 12. We also have brought an uncle on board in Scott. Scott was previously CEO of Signature Wines for 4 years, 2 of which were on the Inc 500 list of fastest growing companies. He also holds an MBA from Wharton School of Business.
So, why the name SparkSprite?
It's simple enough – our aim is to spark a smile on children's faces and our way of doing that is by having a sprite deliver the mail. Our hope is to also generate a stronger connection between an adult and the child in their life.
We know there are many people out there just like us, attempting to be the best grandma, uncle, godparent, or friend they can be, in order to strengthen relationships with these wonderful youngsters. Take it from me, SparkSprite is an original and affordable way to make kids smile and think of you. Thank you for taking the time to hear a little bit about my passion.
